Hi there
I suggest a few hot water bottles put in the bed an hour or two before you retire for the night,  turn off the warm heating just before you go to bed, not only will it be bad for the batteries running it all night,  but do please think of your boat neighbours and residents where you are staying the night

Or buy one of those little oil filled heaters for about £25 quid, take that with you, moor where there is shore power and keep that plugged in all night, nice background heat, save on diesel and safe. You take it home with you and store it for next time. Have a great time.

To all who gave me their invaluable advice, "Thank you!". I did read it and took it on board, literally!

San Pedro 1 was a fairly decent boat for the price, although the 2 forward berths and the 1 single in a separate cabin are really only suitable for children.

There were only 2 hot air outlets, 1 in the main cabin and 1 in the separate rear cabin, but these were more than sufficient in keeping the boat warm and snug.

My only criticism is about the 'pram cover'. It is either up or down, and getting it down is a mission for one person and would probably be difficult for two. If it had some side zips so you could roll them up it would make life much easier getting on and off.

Other than that, it was a great short break; did some mud weighting, wild mooring and had to go to Latham's for stuff I didn't know I needed until I saw it.

Richardson's staff were excellent.
