Yesterday lunch time Saturday 9th I intended to moor outside The Wherry Hotel.
On entering the broad we where amazed to see such rough water. It was more like Breydon Water on a rough day.
There were two boats moored on The Wherry Hotel moorings and both were moored side on. The boats were really being thrown about. The smaller of the two was really being bashed about.
I decided to enter the Yacht Station and check the conditions but although it was much calmer there was still a fair bit of movement. I decided for the 1st time ever to give it a miss and make a hasty retreat. My wife was already feeing a bit queasy.
We going to return and moor outside The Wherry Hotel today near lunchtime and stay over night. I am looking forward to a nice Sunday roast.
I wonder what it was like on Breydon Water yesterday lunch. Time. Anyone know?
It was bad enough here near to Beccles in the garden so what it was like on Breydon , well it must have been interesting to say the least. Will look out for you on the camera and do hope you get your lovely Sunday roast as planned. The wind has definitely calmed down a bit today.
