Hi, it's good to have a paper map and guide aboard as you gently waft around the broads and I'm sure others will have some great ideas on that BUT, I would recommend the free app called "Boating maps" from hoseasons. It has several good guides including detailed maps of both north and south broads and plenty of detail of surrounding areas. With most people having large screen smart phones or/tablets to hand it's an obvious 'tool' to take with you. We usually have both a Note 3 and a tab 3 on the dash displaying maps and gps positioning info. I would definitely not recommend the paid 'emapp' of the broads though, we tried it last year and deleted it on the third day. I've noticed that the brochure pictures of silver emblem (this year's hire) seem to feature a display of some sort? Maybe some one who has hired this boat can comment on what it is.
