PPS (!) - Saw Fair Diplomat under early stages of construction at Herbert Woods site in October, didn't realise at the time it was going to be a hireboat, so apolagies for no picture taken, and fingers crossed they have cut out and installed the windows for you now!

I just had this mental image of all these boats milling around potter, with lasers firing away like something out of star wars.
One of the nice things about a yacht is that when the mast is down it's usually horizontal so you can use it as a sight to check the height.

If the air draft of 9ft 8 you found is correct then alas you're stuffed for Ludham & probably St Olaves. It's well worth ringing the boatyard & trying to speak to someone who can tell you for sure what the air draft is - could they have modified the standard boat to be more Broads bridge friendly?

You could also try Ranworth Marine - they run two of the Birchwood 340 class as 'time shares'

We navigated Ludham Bridge at Christmas. Moonhaze has an air draught of 7 foot and both Gill and I had to duck as we went under. I think 9 foot would be pushing it.

It looks like everyone's confirmed that fair Diplomat won't be fitting under Ludham Bridge, coincidentally, whilst watching my holiday video from France last year on this same mould I think I can confirm there's no way this boat will get under Ludham, unless the top section has been modified, which didn't jump out at me as obvious when I saw her in October.
One thing'a for sure though, this is a lovely mould of boat, so....enjoy your holiday.......I'm envious!!

......if you aim, on a particular holiday, to go under a particular bridge.....you won't be able to.
We haven't made it under Potter Heigham for years even in boats that should go through easily. Something to do with spring tides always coinciding with our holidays......

Saw two of them go under one after another about a month ago. From where we were (approaching the bridge from upstream) it looked to me like they were going to hit the bridge. It was very tight indeed. Strangely, the boards showed less than nine foot (around 8'9" ish). Our boat is supposed to have a 6'6" air draft but will go under Potter bridge at 6'2". Clearly there is some room for error, but it would break my heart to see someone take the top off an almost new boat. Even if it belonged to someone else.
