Hi Mate welcome,
as to your question how long is a bit of string.
When you arive at Wroxham (hoveton)all the day boat hires and there are many are good,
If you want one with a loo and cooking stuff,
then
G Smiths at the Rhond are good, 01603 782587
Happy cruising.

Welcome to the site Cameron, great place to get top information on anything Broads.

I tend to agree that George Smiths offer great little boats for a day out with good kitchen facilities, a toilet and most importantly, a sliding roof allowing you to make the most of the sun if it shows!

Barnes Brinkcraft also do a good range from a basic launch up to a sophisticated cruiser with echo sounder, TV and a comfortable albeit enclosed interior. www.barnesbrinkcraft.co.uk/shortbreaks.htm

Hi Cameron,

We've allways had sterling service from Fineway Launches at Wroxham, all boats are immaculate and have heating, although they dont have cookers and sinks like Smiths do.

Sound advice so far..

George Smith (Sheerline) offer 24' boats with toilet and cooking facilities, but obviously you will pay more for these. If there's a good few of you these are a great option.

Fineway have very well presented day launches, which seat up to 11 (I wouldn't recommend more than 8 adults though). All are indeed heated (with the exception of the electric boats in the summer) and immaculate, and cheaper than many yards which are offering inferior boats.

I happily hire them all year round when there's a smaller party of us. You can find them at www.finewayleisure.co.uk
