Its the end of the season and the yacht station is shut.
We on the other hand are not,if your still planing to come to Yarmouth we have two over night moorings for visitors.
And don't forget open all year round for pump outs and 24h recovery and towing, also coming soon moorings.

We toyed with the idea of stopping off for a pump
out in September.   The tide was running fast and
our thoughts were :   how do you get on stopping in
a fast tide , tying up etc and what happens if the
pump out is on the opposite side of the boat , which
means the boat would have to be turned.

Does this prove to be difficult , please tell.    If
you think any of this would be no problem then we
will of course stop next time.   We like to support
our local business'

I am sure others have thought the same as us.    Is
it best to ring ahead?

Thank you Dibbler for bringing this to our attention
once more.

Surely it is little different to stopping at the Yacht Station.

And if you follow the advice of passing through Yarmouth at around slack there should be no tide should there.

Yes granted but if we are facing towards the direction of Breydon and the tide is flowing with us, we would have to turn into the tide to moor and the pump would be out on the river side.  Hence my question.

I am hoping the yard will reply.

Hi all
Mooring at the pump out is OK due to a large boat moored at the start of the yard slowing down the flow along the quay head.as for the problem emptying out we have a very long hose well able to pump from front/back/outside/.normally I offer to turn the boat on its ropes in the direction you are heading saves a lot of bother and time.if you are on your own just give us a call I'll grab a rope of you

Dear Knackered

Two mods have posted and there hasn't even been the question of whether you have made a contribution to the forum coffers.

Things must be improving :o. Where's Karen when you need her?

Whereabouts are you, as we hate stopping at the yacht station when we come from the south?

Knackeredsailor hi,

I have updated my website details on the facilities page and given you a mention on the BA moorings page just below the topic Yacht Stations.

Hope this bring some custom your way. Cheers

Kind Regards
Alan...
