I thought I would stick this on a separate thread for ease of reading.
This is for the trip to Oulton Broad via the tradition route on the
Waveney river.
We will personally leave Stalham at 12.00 noon, on Friday 11 July.
Travel down the Ant to
St Benets as 1st meeting place at 14.00hrs then to
Thurne mouth at 14.30hrs. Then down the Bure to
Stracey Arms Mill at 16.00 hrs, Then onto
Breydon for a crossing at 18.00hrs, with a meet at
Berney Arms Mill For the night.
if you wish to join at any specific meeting place, or would like to meet
elsewhere on route, let me know either by PM or phone, number on
SOS list
Saturday 12th to follow.

Saturday 12th July,
This is the day of the Salty bottoms cruise, so after Breakfast and with hopefully favorable weather conditions,  leave
Berney Arms at around 9.30hrs to travel back onto Breydon with the Salty Bottoms cinc, and head to Gt Yarmouth. For their departure at around 10.45, this is of course this is optional.
Then head back to the Burgh Castle for another meet at 11.30hrs.
Heading down the Waveney for another meet at St.Olaves at 12.30hrs.
meet next at Somerleyton.
Then onto Oulton Dyke for the final meet at around 13.30hrs.
To finish in Oulton Broad at 14.00hrs.

Again if you need to meet else where or need to take another route let me know and we can sort out adding extra time etc if needed

I know that some boats may not pass under St Olaves bridge and will use the New Cut.

On arival at OB, those with pre booked moorings can head to those,
the rest of us head to the mooring at the Wherry PH. Or we can mud
weight in the broad.
The salty bottomers will be arriving from around 14.30hrs onwards.
any drinking or merriment can start as early as you like.
Return journey are your own responsibility, but we shall probably go
through Breydon at 08.00 hours Monday morning, slack water being
06.59.
If you need to contact myself or Griff, you can either pm or phone,
again you can find us both in the SOS list.
Finally,  looking forward to seeing you all next week.

I hope this wind dies down.  I have enough trouble going in a straight line.  Playful

You never go in a straight line boat-sailbut I have it on good authority that Saturday will be light winds and friday will be much the same Smile

Due to an incident at Oulton Broad Yacht Station it will be closed for mooring until Monday at the earliest.

The same applies for the locks.

I've had a chat with Griff and we're hoping to be able to do the event at Berney Arms.
