Hi, Im a newbie on the forum but ive been looking on here for tips and advice as me and partner arrive in July and find this forum very helpful

Just wondering if anybody has used the Topliner boat before and what you felt about it etc.

Seems ideal for us and our dog

Mackem hello and welcome.

The two berth Topliner boats each have a 4 poster walk around bed.  The layout differs slightly in some of them but all are very comfortable.

I have hired Topliner craft a dozen times or more but this was when they belonged to Topcraft in Oulton Broad.  Topcraft no longer hire out boats which is a shame as they really kept their boats in pristine condition.  The last time I saw one of these boats close up it looked like it had seen better days. Having said that I believe the hire charges are on the lower side.

These boats are unique in shape as they are more like a caravan on water.
Good points: Good size walk around bed, comfortable open plan layout, breakfast bar, good heating in main area, Patio door at the stern leading to a brilliant patio area with proper stone slabs, table and chairs and a ladder to the roof with an additional patio door to the side that has walkways round most of the boat but at 6ft you have to duck as the roof covers the walk ways. These craft also had bow thrusters.

Not so good points:  Without going outside the cockpit is only accessible by going through the toilet/shower room.  The toilet/shower has two doors one from the saloon area and one from the cockpit.  This is not the case on all of these craft as there are variations of layout.  The sink is located in the cockpit which is not all bad as there is more room to wash than in a normal shower room.  The cockpit although has heating it is not very good as the hot air only trickles in this area.  These boats have no opening or sun roof but whilst stationary the patio area is brilliant.

The four berth have a totally different layout and have no patio area.

I have attached a pic of the interior.  More can be viewed on my website on the photo gallery slide show.

Kind Regards
Alan...

Just to add.

This boat should be great for your dog due to the walkways both sides and stern.  The sides are deep so keeping your pet safely on board.

Kind Regards
