Hi, we are on Blue Horizon 2 from Acle starting Tuesday 27th May for one week.  We can look up low tide times and we can see each day the actual level at low tide but we want to know how long the low tide lasts and therefore what our 'window of opportunity' is for crossing Breydon Water.  We aim to travel from Acle towards Great Yarmouth next Tuesday after pick up (unsure when exactly boat will be available).  If we have time we will cross Breydon water that afternoon/evening.... If not, early the following morning.  Hope you can help!  We haven't been on the broads for a few years so will probably have a few more questions over the next week!  Thanks for your help.

If you're lucky you can make the 16.55 slack water, from my own research you should be okay for a couple of hours after then too, (I don't know the air draft on your boat though so cannot advise further.

You can use the tide table high lighted in red at the bottom of the page.

Thanks Ian.  I don't know any information about Blue Horizon 2 - husband wants to know dimensions to see what bridges we could possibly go under.....  I suppose you get this information when we pick the boat up.  I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of info supplied in the post today - just a booking receipt and not much else.... I remember getting all sorts of booklets and info before....  Managed to get a couple of guides from local library so that we can think about routes.

We booked on-line with Hoeseasons and have received nothing
except an email confirming the booking and payment details.
I guess it's a sign of the times.

I think she is an Horizon 42 single level cruiser so should be around
7 ft air draft.

I know very little about boats but not sure it is a single level cruiser as it has two places where you can steer from - one up higher?

DazR, if the boat you've hired is this one, the web site clearly states that it will go under all the bridges (including Potter Heigham at low tide).
