With the usual caveats regarding atmospheric pressure and wind speed and direction we always work on the following.

High water Ludham Bridge is 4 hours after high water at Gorleston/Yarmouth Bar  (not the GY yacht station).

Low water Ludham Bridge is 11 hours after the same high water as above.

The river gets squeezed at the bridge and flows through quite strongly - so aim to have maximum control for stopping etc by going against the flow.  Yes it may cost a bit more fuel but you will get added control of the boat in a tight bridge-hole.

There are two rules for sucess in life:

1, Never tell anyone everything you know.

For five years I hired Fair Diplomat with an airdraft of 8ft 6 we
manage to get under Ludham (albeit waiting for low water) for four of
these years and the year we were unable to the bridge levels were
very high if I remember right I think Ludham was max 8ft 2 during
that visit , we also hired Fair Aristocat a couple of years with an
airdraft of 8ft 6 and we passed under Ludham with no trouble at all
on those visits .
So unless the weather conditions are exceptional during your visit
then there should be no problems at all with your passing under
Ludham , if when you arrive you are unsure why not moor up and
ask Jason at LBBY he is very knowledgable and I have always found
him most approachable (also if you need it he does a very good
pump out service)

no traffic, no fumes, no traffic wardens.......bliss!!
