Dear Griff

I know I've helped you in the past, i.e. basically taught you EVERYTHING you know about engines, gearboxes & 4 blade propellers! Wink  however, you are one of a select few who actually go out of their way to help others,,,,,,,

Example - I emailed recently you about doing a possible 'project' to help someone else, which would have involved you giving up a week of your own time. Unfortunately in the end my personal/business commitments stopped this project going ahead (until next year!).

From the very first moment I contacted you about this, you then continued to pester me for at least 3 weeks afterwards with trying & get the project started.........!!!
It was very clear you only pestered me because you WANTED to help someone else, i.e. make that someone else's life better, without any gain to yourself......

Unfortunately, 'helping others' is a very rare quality to find in people today but you do this very naturally...... Taking nothing away from myself, I also help others however, afterwards I send out an invoice!!! Smile

So after a great deal of consideration both myself & Sonia (& team LBBY) would like to attend your BBQ and contribute towards the food....

I really hope you will accept this gesture, unless you have support already in place for this

So see you there!

Regards

Jason

For those driving up if you fancy a spot of primitive camping I do have plenty of space.

Jason - Tha's making me blush  Blush

A very fine offer - which is typical and far from unusual of team LBBY,  I'll take you up on the offer and have a word with Richard - Thanks.

JM - Same vein as per the above.

This type of attitude is what the forum is / should be all about imho  Cheers

I don't do camping!! so 'primitive' camping is just not happening!!!

Any 5 star hotels close by?? Wink

However a reserved car parking spot would be handy!!!! Smile  We actually keep a red carpet in the boot ready, so you won't need to worry about this...

For the catering, just let Griff know that you want to be fed, and get the money to him. So long as I've got a weeks notice on numbers there should be no problem.

Griff,

I seem to have in my possession a print-out of a plan for arriving and departing the Berney at suggested times. I presume this is from the original thread. Is this still the desired plan, or has anything changed? Perhaps you could put the info up on your first post, for those recently signed up?

Regards, Ray.

Just a heads up for those wanting to book in somewhere and who don't wish to camp, or have a boat I've booked a night at the Winelodge Apartments.

You can get a double room for £40.00 or a 1 bed apartment for £80.00 over at Booking.com

Look nice and easy to wobble back from the yacht station to on Saturday evening lol
