Bingo! - There you go TT reliable as ever

Come on TT - You can do better than this if you want to have a dig in my general direction- it's below your normal standard - disappointing I have to say.

A/Griff has stated publicly both here and elsewhere that he no longer wishes to be associated with this site, Fact!

I can't remember using those words precisely but if you want to peddle it as fact - fire away, no argument from this quarter

B/ Griff has the contact details of every person who was going on his CinC either e-mail or using the pm facility here, Fact!

WRONG - I don't have everyone's e-mail that attended the C-in-C - I wish I did, Nor could I be bothered to drag up the list, then individually contact all 22 skippers by PM either, besides some of those skippers are not members of the NBF (But used to look-in) so I could not PM them either so a generic broadcast addressed to those that took part seemed the only way of keeping them up to speed, both here and elsewhere

C/ Griff knew/knows that this whole sorry saga was a very devisive issue on this forum, FACT!  Griff chose to come on here and make a public statement of the situation followed by other disaffected members who have made various veiled (and in some cases not so veiled) accusations against individuals and organizations, why? I leave you to draw your own conclusions.Dave

Most of that lot is just your opinion, my opinion is fortunately totally opposite.  My update was aimed just at the skippers - If you want to blow it out of all proportion - help yourself, I ain't losing any sleep over it.

I'm doing my best to calm down the situation by refraining from posting, maybe you could do the same?  Thought not! Ce cera cera - fill your boots

An old timer from Oulton Broad
went to sea in a '63 Ford
He got through the lock
But sank in the dock
So the forum put him to the sword

Inevitable. When the sleeping dogs were laying....
This has got way too personal now. Totally unnecessary.

Unless BA has been banned he is entitled to continue to post whatever he said previously. Loads of people have "left" this forum only to return later.
Nor should his posts be edited to such an extent that they may just as well have been written by the editor and just signed BA.
This all started when the "mod team" felt it necessary to close ranks on one of their own who made the dreadful AA error of judgement and it has been back and forth and got worse since.

BA (and other parties)  would do better just to let this die on here, however much they feels aggrieved. It is only going to get worse rather than better.

Thank you Excile, your post does clear up some confusion in my mind re the AA business. The truth is two people in Admin/mod capacity have caused a lot of mischief and caused a great deal of damage to this forum. If I was one of the banner advertisers I would not wish my business to be associated with it anymore.
Richard's wishes should be complied with. More thought and less barrack room law if this forum is to prosper. On the other side of the coin the Owner should revisit the suitability of temperament and personality of those running the site on a day to day basis. Happy Christmas all and hopefully a more peaceful new year. Must go have to fly!

A reminder or two folks:

Any member or moderator of this forum is freely entitled to
write/communicate with any organisation/publication etc that they
wish to, though not in the name of the forum of course. This is their
choice in the free country we live in.

Many moons back it was agreed by Richard that a thread about the
sea going trip could remain purely for arrangments info only,
because it was a non Broads and non NBF event.

We all know the topic caused discord as there were very strong
views. Why resurrect it now?! And if you do, don't expect it to go
down well!

Why not move to to the 'not really the broads' group then it would be in the right place?

Please don't lock it, it's been entertaining watching a few keyboard warriors doing their thing Smile

I really must get these glasses changed.  I read that last line as 'doing their fling'.   I imagine cabers being tossed and kilts a flying and nether regions being exposed.

No I have not been on the source,  well not yet anyway.
