The Mutford lock issue could well be of interest to forum members Paladine. So why not have a full "Mutford lock" thread, rather than have to sift through all the other issues and posts that are not related to get partial information on the subject.
I read threads like this but do not get involved in the discussions because my input would add little or nothing to the party. I simple do not know enough about the issues involved so my contributions would amount to nothing more than fluff and possibly hot air. If however a side issue of interest like Mutford lock came up I would start a new thread with relevant questions on that specific subject.

Open forum or not, the problem with people not involved commenting is that we do not know the details and minutia involved. That leads to misunderstanding, invalid comments and sometimes just pure nonsense.
All IMHO of course.

Exile, I'm still researching Mutford Lock and may well start a new thread on that subject. But it is taking time. If you'd like to start one off yourself, I'll join in when I know more about it myself.

I will wait for your research and start Paladine as I know nothing whatsoever about the subject.
Being a Northern rivers man that has not gone south for a few years I come well down the knowledge league table on southern subjects. Blush

Written elsewhere on a similar thread.
"A very good post Peter (elsewhere), I wonder if it will be summarily deleted  like some of Griff's as well ?

Stealth censorship hasn't happened here yet, and hopefully never will. There's been no signs of it so far."

John that is just one instance from a thread over the other side that has any number of snide digs at this forum, I haven't seen you critisise them.

if it is to be it is up to me!

Fair comment, and much the same as Pally wrote to me in a PM.

I like to think I am as likely to admit when being wrong as I am to criticize when I feel I should. On this occasion I apologise and accept that cheap shots are occurring in both camps. I withdraw my statement.

As a newbie to this forum I see no difference than other forums and committees I've come across in my 72 yrs there is always politics, sniping varying from good natured to damn right nasty .there are always groups within the group who stick together whether right or wrong ,this is the nature of the beast ,but I believe transparency is a must, other forums and committees are just that ,other forums and committees the one I've just joined is called the Norfolk Broads Forum so surely this is the one we should be bothered with.I believe in truth at all times whatever the cost that's what should happen as the norm, and I as any other member has the option to leave the forum if it gets to much and to silly.

BroadAmbition, one question, if I may.

Exactly when were you notified that your CIC could not use the lock?
