They are fictional after all! True, if you know the Broads well enough there are things that will wind you up but the stories are ok and easy going.

“OK and easy going” about sums them up, as for keeping you on the edge of your seat, I’m not sure, the plots are easily seen through. As I said it’ a generic police story that could be set anywhere but the writer has chosen The Broads to appeal to those of us who love the area, having done that he should try to get his geographical and operational details right. If you want to read a similar series but set in Northumberland try the DCI Ryan mysteries written by LJ Ross, well written and well researched by someone who has bothered to check their facts. Dave
if it is to be it is up to me.

I have read all 6 books, yes there are inaccuracies with locations, distances etc, but I still enjoyed them.

I agree with Mr Tibbs on this one. My own description would include the word 'shallow', and I don't mean the water! Mind you, I have only read one of the six books, that was out of curiosity as so many people rate the author. It was in the 50p dump basket by the door of a local charity shop. Each to their own though, I understand that there are people who actually like Strictly!!
