A Forum Library: I have been trying to get this posting together for a considerable time but each time I thought I had got there something happened and events overtook me. The most recent attempt has not only been prompted by the time of year but also because I heard that two new Broads Books are due out in March and May 2014. I was thinking that this particular posting would be simply a bibliography and that I would preface each book that I mentioned, with a reference number of my initials and a consecutive number so that if you want to make a comment about a particular book you have something to refer to and use as a short title at the beginning of your posting. If you have other suggestions, just post on this thread using a introductory title of your own initials and a number. I will do my best to update the bibliography as time goes by to include your suggestions. The library list, so far, is: WJM01 The Broads: The Biography. Pete Goodrum. Looks like the beginnings of an excellent 'ready reference' - maybe worth the Mods considering making it a 'sticky' ( ? ). From someone still with much to learn about The Broads may I for one thank you for your time and effort to-date, Bill Steve.
Steve & Maggie. Magellan (Westward 38) Not quite an ancient mariner ..... though some say he was at sea before Pontius was a pilate !

Bill, I thought it might help if this thread was made ' sticky' so that it stays near the top of the listings.

I've posted about 50 titles and I know that many of the older hands know many of them well, so how about some reviews for the benefit of newer members. If you mention the code I've given them, it may help track down enough detail for Santa to do his job Happy to add to the list and include more detail when time permits.

WJM09 Broadland Suspense ‘The Blue Lady’. Truly awful. A bunch of "mates" take an painfully long time to hire a boat and encounter an improbable bunch of "bad guys" in an implausible adventure. Along the way they meet a variety of beautiful ladies and partake in excruciating flirt dialogue with them. The writing style is childish. The characters are flat and unbelievable stereotypes. The plot is tortuous. £1.90 (Kindle) is £1.90 too much.

WJM 55 , Blood Red Snow White, Marcus Sedgwick, Pub Orion 2007 This is a fascinating book for all the Arthur Ransome fans. Not Broads based but a re telling in the style of AR of the Russian Revolution and his escape from death with Evgeyna at his side. Brilliant!
