hi all, just a quick post with the boat jumble sale dates for this year , plenty of good stuff there for boat owners or if you want to get boating clothing if your hiring a boat , plenty of stands that sell new clothing much cheaper than buying at the chandlers on the broads , so here are the dates cheers

If anyone plans to get to the Newhaven one on June 4th - let me know! I'll come over and meet you... only live about 12 miles away.

Thanks Steve & Vicky! Hopefully got Middlewich, Norwich and Ipswich lined up!!! We missed every one last year and, yes, have spent a small fortune on bits and pieces from various chandlery shops!!!! Cheers Christina P.S Are there still chandlery auctions at Horning? Which we also missed last year too!

DO they still do the big boat and chandlery sales at Wroxham? Years ago as a young copper, I used to go with the criminal records officer (we were based at N. Walsham) to check serial numbers on boat engines and outboards, against a database of nicked boats and outboards! Fun days... I got to spend time with the river police for a couple of summers too, deputising for chaps on their day off! Actually, they were my very first outings on the Broads!

Boat jumbles are more my mark than these snooty Boat Shows - pay loads of money to suffer crowds and be ignored by snooty d*mned salesmen, and just try haggling with one of them.....:eg:
We are not the owners of the Broads, any one of us. We have a far more important duty as guardians of this very precious region for the generations which will succeed us. Poppy
