Hi All

Heading down to the Southside in a few weeks for the first time, unfortunately have 2 elderly passengers that are not well enough to stop on our boat, can anyone recommend any B&B or small Hotel, about 4 - 5 hours cruising past Yarmouth ??
Appreciate any suggestions

Hi there and welcome to the forum. There was a small B&B at Reedham just up from the Lord Nelson pub, sorry can't remember the name of the place, but I'm sure if you got in touch with the Lord Nelson they would be able to tell you if it was still trading and maybe give you the phone number. Hope you find something suitable.

all the best

Hello,
I have not actually stayed in a room there but enjoy visiting the The Beauchamp Arms by boat. They did provide B&B.  I was there 1st week of May this year and it was under new management.  The Land lady told me that although B&B was not available at that time it was intended to be available in the near future.

The Beauchamp Arms is approx 3 1/2 hours from Yarmouth.  Thorpe St Andrew Green Norwich is approx 5 hours and I believe there are a few B&B/hotels very nearby.  Worth a look on the net.

In addition there is a Premier Inn by the river in Norwich.  This may not be a small hotel but Premier Inns are normally pretty good. Approx 5 3/4 hours from Yarmouth.

There are a couple of B&Bs in Loddon/Chedgrave I believe.

One is called Chedgrave House,
Chedgrave house

I'm sure there's more but can't find any reference to them on t'internet.  Something in my head tells me that the house near the Chedgrave Common free moorings is or was a guest house too.
