I will tell you what people I was a guest aboard Corsica and with the help I had from Simon and Sonia and other crews getting on and off under some quite trying circumstances I felt at times quite humbled, I thank you all  so very much for a truly great long weekend. 102 looked absolutely stunning and just exudes memory and feeling from every seam quite spooky at times.

We have just arrived home and wish to say that we had
a great time and met many new faces to us. Apart from
the rain later on Friday evening, I believe it goes
without saying that everyone really did enjoy the
weekend. The run up to the Locks Inn and back was, as
Jaguar said:- sunshine, good food, good beer and good
company. What more could anyone ask for.
To all those that we met for the first time, it was a
pleasure.  Cheers
Bill and Jenny.

Edited to add:-
Doug, we had 14ft showing on the log when we crossed
Breydon coming back on Sunday at slack water.

At 11.01 this morning I have no doubt that BroadAmbition meant to suggest that TerryTibbs start a "separate" (not desperate) thread regarding taking less advantaged guests on the C-in-C next year.

I think his spell checker is confused...lol.

I just wanted to say that I had a fabulous time right from 'practising' how to cruise in company with the Malankans and the Shadows (its a long story and involved me being thoroughly sandwiched!), chatting to everyone whilst waiting for the MTB at OBYS, the actual cruise, Friday night BBQ, the DTS to Geldeston through to Sunday when I managed a sneaky trip on the MTB through the lock when I drove over to pick dad up.

Dad too, had a great time and has declared it his best birthday ever.  I'm already fed up of hearing 'on the MTB this' 'did you know that...'
and he has yet to wipe the grin off his face.

Massive thank yous to everyone who was involved in any way, particularly those who ensured it was something I could participate in this year.

Finally, I was really touched by the the fact that everyone (literally everyone) asked how the engine was and offered help/support in various ways.  ... it got rather warm and is being investigated.  I'll keep you all posted and we will see who's theory was right.   Richard was a real super star for loitering with us at the tail end even when we had to slow right down, especially as its obvious that Brandy goes siginificantly faster.  (Just don't ask him about the coffee cup incident!!)

Well done NBF another excellent social event!

Thanks to everyone involved with this adventure from myself and Rene. Particularly as we both suffer from a shyness you wouldn't believe from the drivel I write on here! Extra thanks to Mike and Pat for the trip to Geldeston, and Lisa and Martin for a lovely barbecue, to which we didn't contribute as much as we should have. I hope to join you all again next time, in fact I can't wait!

Thanks again everyone.

Regards, Ray.

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear!!! What do we have here, then? Would this be our hero dragging a fender in the wet stuff? Who gets the blame for this, then? Captain's responsibility, I believe. Can he give himself two days in the brig? Evil Grin .

Ha Ha,

Nice try Ray but no cigar on this occasion, I elected to leave them down as they had all sorts of crud on them and needed a rinse off.  shortly afterwards they were wiped down and brought back inboard.  It's a similar done thing to leave the mudweight just below the surface sometimes to wash that off too if the sticky stuff is proper sticky!

Oh, right! Typical Navy oik, an excuse for every transgression. Next thing you'll be telling us the big boys made you do it, then ran away. Wink
