We will be around the south broads that week but have to be back in Brundall sat morning so wont be able to join the C in C but hopefully see some members around during the week.

It might pay for those planning to stay at Oulton Broad Yacht Station on the Thursday night to book in advance as it it Oulton Week.

Matt

I was at OBYS last week and saw MTB102 in the shed at the training school and the man there assured me that the boat WILL be ready for the CinC cruise in august,i took some photo's of it out of the water and they were doing some repairs to the hull and the props were away being worked on so should be good for the day.
I also spoke to Mike the ranger at Beccles and he said he was dissapointed that someone had booked for the friday AND saturday of the bank holiday weekend, then changed there minds and made it only friday. He had turned down loads of boats from booking.

Sorry to say we have changed our plans . The stress of getting moored at Stokesby when most of you will be there way before us and possibly having to go off to Stracey Arms on our own does not feel like it will be enjoyable.
Also , having been down south last week , the cruise down to Beccles from Stokesby all in one day is just too long in one day for our relaxed style of holiday.
I hope you all enjoy it .We will be on the Ant I think!

Mark, We will miss you on the CINC.

It looks like there will only be 6 or 7 boats moored at Stokesby on the Thursday night, with the rest of the northern contingent joining us from other parts before we head off to GY at 08.15hrs on Friday morning.

Couple of things, now the Forum seems to have settled down like a fine wine...

The Skipper of Moonlight Shadow is most definitely SternMoor rather than goodfortune, lol!  (We don't care about that Playful Wink  .)

With regard to the cruising plan, will you be collecting the Oulton contingent?  If so how, when?  Fancy rafting against a proper naval ship!

Lisa

I have amended the passage plan - please see new attachment. With all the issues with the hackers I posted a work in progress version. Will edit previous posts to revfer to this one.

You will see that the plan now includes rafting with MTB around about 14.00hrs for a photoshoot by Lord Paul, possibly TV and EDP as well!

Then depart for Beccles in line order two abreast, which will be posted later.

Issues regarding the moorings were resolved weeks ago. Mike had initially got the wrong end of the stick and we were booked in for both fri and sat. However, this was sorted. Undoubtedly he will have been able to contact many of the potential bookees as BYS have several weekend regulars  (judging by what I've seen).

I have only made bookings for FRIDAY night anyone wishing to stay on for the Saturday will need to sort themselves out. I don't have their phone number to hand at the mo, will post it tomorrow.

Simon - can you find out if the MTB will stay on sat night as I can warn them about that in advance if so?

You're a star Simon (and Sonia)!

Can I ask the Forum who is planning to be at Oulton YS on Thursday evening?  We are already booked and we know Mike and kitten will be there.  Hope to see JennyMorgan and Richard (if he's not flat out asleep after his anti-hacker activities).

edit: Also, as there is sailing for Oulton Week, will we find it difficult to get into the YS on Thursday and out on Friday?

I'm at Oulton Broad today and wow its busy. The yacht station was
full by lunch. No space for us so we are round the corner at the
holiday village.
Richard, I did look for you but Paul the harbour master said you had
been and gone and were probably at work.

I've booked myself in for the thursday night, my upside down reading
skills told me that moonlight shadow is also booked in. I couldn't see
any further down the list but it's already looking busy.

Martin & Fiona -I couldn't see Malanka on the list so have taken the
liberty of booking you in. Hope that's ok and not taking the pee a bit.
Let me know if that's not right and I'll sort it
out.

Oh and the phone number for Beccles for those people wishing to
book themselves in for the Saturday night is.....
