Well done Griff, What you need is Lord Paul on camera and London Rascal doing to the live reports for us.
I was involved in the Silver Jubilee at Elland Road on the pitch in the Cubs holding a letter up and was at the front carrying the flag round the edge of pitch with loads of groups following.
Wonder if they will call me up again minus the shorts lol.

Funny you should mention that GC.

I was thinking of helping Charles get the boat down there by offering forum members to assist.

I could assist to Oulton Broad, Richard could then thake the helm to Ipswich, you could take it to Essex way where Charlie would take over. At the start of Kent Middlin could take it to Steve by the Dartford Crossing who could deliver it onto the Thames.

Easy really aint it. All we have to do now is get Lord Paul to organise his friend with the microlight to do a few fly pasts to capture each member onboard.

Well done Charles. Seriously, if you do need a hand getting her up or down from the smoke, give us a shout. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be available. (can we claim LSSB??)

WOW Well done Griff. Sounds like a trip of a lifetime. It would be good for you after the event to do some exploring down the Thames or even onto the canal system (on the broad canals, BA would not get down the narrow canals)

Hi Ya'll,

arrived safely up here in Jockland, borrowed a lap top thingy, - no mouse - nightmare thing it is.

Anyroadup, thanks for your well wishes, we feel somewhat humbled to be offered a place and proper proud to be representing the NBF and flying the flag for the Broads addicts in the capital on such a historical event.  I intend/want 'B.A' primarily to be representing the NBF, whether Anglia Afloat and other Broads organisations with to be involved, well we will have to wait and see.

Now those of you that were maybe thinking I was a bit slow in coming forward with volunteering for organising the 2012 C-in-C, well now you know why, I couldn't commit myself until I knew one way or t'other if I was going to be available.
As it turns out, we can still make the annual NBF meet on Malthouse Broad so it is all falling just nicely.

The loose plan as it stands at present is five of us male crew to take 'B.A' from Lowestoft down to the Thames and back. 5 x wives will meet us there having travelled down by rail and stay over for 4 x days or so, we intend for them to be onboard with us for the actual pageant

There is a lot to organise now we have been given the green light, not least of which is I have to get 'B.A' more proper sea-worthy like, that it to say as much as is reasonably possible with a 46 yr old timber Broads river cruiser. Looks like the snagging list has just got longer in an instant  Scared

As per the norm with the NBF, your views and suggestions are very welcome.

You personally may not be attending, but we'll do our level best to represent all of us forumites.
