I travelled down the river from stalham Saturday afternoon. only got just past the Sutton turn off and my engine died. I through the mudweight in and pulled my boat into the side and within three to four minutes some kind fellow stopped to ask if i was ok, tied his boat to mine and towed me back to Stalham. My mind was on other things at the time so didn't catch the name of his boat. All i know is that it was a Shetland with a 30hp outboard. I don't know who he was but if he's reading this, I can't thank you enough for what you done. What a great crowd some of these Broads boaters are. I will always remember his help and will now be the first to offer my help should I ever see anyone else in my predicament. Thanks again if your reading this.

I,m not sure if it was you that broke down LAST saturday - pale blue hull?

If so I was one of the 3 that offered some help.
I went past and turned around just as the other two heading towards looked like they were offering help.

Hope you got back OK.  Can not help with details of your helper though.

No mine has a White hull. Sounds like I wasn't the only unfortunate
one to break down. Still it's good to know there's people out there
prepared to help. Kind of restore your faith in human nature.

I went into Barton Broad late Friday afternoon / early evening and got "flaged down" by a couple on a yacht whoes engine had packed up.
They saked for a tow to Coxs Yard which I did for them.
Only took 15 - 20 minutes.
They were pleased.
Then I thought " why didnt they use their sails" ?

Still I enjoyed helping them.

People who can't place an apostrophe should not throw
anything.

Shame none of you were about on Barton last Tuesday, when my lad was trying to get a tow to shore having used up all the battery power, Thanks to Boulters breakdown service they got going again, but had to wait for the boat to come round from Horning rather than the 10 mins it would have taken by road had they been on shore. Well worth having breakdown cover you never know when you will need it.
