Just been passed by a gin palace on the River Ant going ten top the dozen. Damned great wash and all the blue rinced birds in the back seemed to want me to wave. Personally there was enough waves at the back of the boat, They did not need one from me. T-s-e, probably from Stalham, slow it down mate or take the darned thing out to sea if you have the necessary skills which I very much doubt Alan.

Hi Alan Was it a Haines 34 sedan (or similar, aft sedan type), if it was then it was probably the same one that myself and Jim Retter (on separate boats) passed leaving last year's meet at Ranworth, he was heading towards the moorings and going a fair old lick then, on requesting that he slow down a tad (in my normal diplomatic fashion) he requested that i go forth and multiply.

Hi. Sounds par for the course. Hopefully he has had the snip so that sort will not multiply. Judging from the birds in the back it would not be possible anyway

If you have a camera ready then take a couple of photographs - with the date and time stamp turned on, then report him. It worked VERY well for me a couple of years ago !!!! Cost the guy over 2k in fines !!!!

Hi Lord Paul. Did not have a chance at that, all of a sudden he was behind me and then he was gone leaving me to steady the boat. He gave me a big grin as he went past, the arrogant (expletive). The ranger will get him eventually. Hopefully nobody will get injured in the meantime. Anyway, by the number of people on board would not be accommodated overnight so he must be based at Stalham and going back to base. Regards. Alan.

Ah Yes, I've seen this boat around quite a few times. Thanks. Hope Andy has seen this thread. Griff

I think we need to be careful on here with just boat names, rather than reg numbers, in case there's a duplicate... On Craig's database, the only Luminaire is not what I'd call a "Gin Palace".... http://www.horning.org.uk/boatsearch.php?page=search&search=yes&RegNo=4497&href=2¤t=no I thought the original cryptic clue was "T-s-e" ?? (or am I being thick here ?) I've got no problem with the principle of naming and shaming though, the offending boat owner sounds a complete Git....
