Hi all,

We're heading for the Northern Broads in May of this year. With us having a little one we'll be mainly looking at eating on the boat. Does anybody know of any fantastic chinese takeaways? We've heard of one in Horning and is it right that one delivers to somewhere like Ranworth?

Many thanks

Tom & Sally

I don't think the one in Horning delivers to Ranworth (not unless you want it cold). There is one in South Walsham which does the job.

Hi, the Kings Arms at Ranworth deliver to Ranworth Broad and South Walsham Broad, at the South Walsham mooring if you walk up the path they have a box with the menus in, they do great food at a reasonable price too, 4 adults and 2 kids with big appetites cost under £40  I have put a link on hope it works o.k  'Happy holidays' Clair

Two Chinese takeaways in Stalham, along with other varieties. within ten minute walk of Richardsons boatyard. Used to be one very close to bridge in Wroxham, someone will tell you if it's still there (please)Also one not far from the river at Coltishall?

The Kings Arms is the one I meant. It's actually in South Walsham rather than Ranworth. The Wroxham one is still going.

There's also one at Wroxham (alright, Hoveton & Wroxham) railway station.

Don't forget good old fish'n chips, the best is in Stalham at the end of the high street IMHO.

I agree about Stalham fish and chip shop. However their advertised times are quite limited (something like 7or or 8pm closing) and you have to be prepared to queue-but it's worth it. They do seem to stay open beyond stated time when there is a queue.
