That was hard work - I lost my connection just as we started round 5 and could only see 12 of the probable 19 contestants.  Honesty ruled - thanks everyone!

The winner was Teadaemon with 7 points, followed closely by Goodfortune 5, then on 4 was arthur 99.
Tied on 3 was jaguar, ptg, charlie then tied on 2 garmarg, dave birch, jojo66. Finally on 1 were lindandy (correctly spelt?) pizza lover and rondonay.

Girls 1 V Boys 1 so we are tied at the moment after two quizes!!!

Hope not too many rotties at the forum meet?
Liz

Thank you Lis. The teddy has been removed from the launcher and will be ready for next week. A very enjoyable quiz even with the connection problems we were all having. Well Done to you

On behalf of Liz, I'm sure you are extremely welcome (I know, there's too many "Liz" and "Lis" names to contend with).

It was a really good quiz wasn't it?  Plenty of problems, a few teddies at the ready, my complete lack of knowledge of Shakespeare's plays about Tudor kings (those Tudors were just upstarts), all combined for a lot of fun.

That Teadeamon Dan has and absolutely encyclopedic brain and quick fingers to go with it.

See you next week.

Lis

Easily done with so many Lizes, Lises and Lisas

Those with technical knowledge - is there a way to investigate this problem on the chat room.

I was minding my own business, watching the correct answers come in and all of a sudden in round 4 just as I wanted to correct the fact that I hadn't noticed that Charlie had got the answer correct first and yes I could see her then, it all went pear shaped.  I kept typing, hitting the send key/return key and nothing happened. I had lost the plot.  Refresh got me back in and all I could initially see was 7 names.  Not the best situation when you are quiz master.  Slightly improved as others went in and out and back in again but it did make life difficult.

If you are a contestant well, its just part of the fun but as QM it wasn't so funny.

Glad we got to the end without too many teddies flying though
Liz

Hmmm, someone send a gallon of the amber tea nectar over to Teadeamon.  It's his shout as QM I believe?

It is indeed my shout.

Had a fairly rough week, so I'm still currently working on questions, but I should get there by 8:30 tonight.

Currently I have the following round titles:

round 1: January 21st

round 2: Explorers and Exploration

round 3: Sport

rounds 4 and 5: your guess is as good as mine at the moment Smile

Ok, I have a quiz, but due to my rather knackered state it's 23 questions in four rounds (although a fair proportion of those have more than one point attached). Round titles are:

21st January

Explorers and Exploration

A short intermission

Sport

The Internet (very loosely)

See everyone there, if the chatroom behaves and I can stay awake long enough. Smile

Can anyone tell me who won the quiz last night please?  I couldn't see the quizmaster and could only see a few of the responses.  Don't think it was the wine lol  Wink

SteveO was the winner with a score of 9 points.

I hope this problem with the chat room is not going to persist for too long.

I still remember the time last year when I could see all the answers but not the questions.

All the best

Arthur
