Hi Regulo,

I just turn off the sound on my laptop, to be honest I generally keep it off as it's a laptop I use for work.

And I generally open a tab with the Forum then open another to go into chat.

However, I have a question also...how does it happen that people occasionally log in with usernames that are not their usernames on the Forum?  Abraham Lincoln springs to mind, as does JonnyW....mmmm.... JonnyW....  LOL

Hi Regulo, thanks for asking a question I was too feeble to ask. I to have the problem of returning to the site from  the chatroom, wondered how people, referred to the site when questions were asked about site subjects. I guess opening twice must be the answer! I suppose this question should be somewhere else on the site and maybe the answer is already there.

I think if you go in via the forum it takes you straight in using your username, if you go in via a direct link it asks you to log in, then I suppose you can log in with a different name.

Thanks Lisa and Grendel for those tips, I hope to be a quiz regular as time allows, so I suppose it'll all become clear in time.

If it's neither here, nor there, then where is it?

A late chip into say thanks for a great quiz again Arthur (I like Arthur's questions!). Sorry girls I did my best but wasn't quite good enough Frown

Really annoyed on one answer - I was typing a reply to someone when the question came up and in the time it took me to remove the typing, the question was answered and it wasn't one that people might have thought I knew = Westinghouse! Not sure who got that one right?

Anyway should be around on Friday
Liz

Hi Graham,

Re viking centre and railway museum. 14 yrs ago I partcipated in a professional training course residentially based in an hotel in York for 13 weeks  over something like 20 months travelling up from daaaan souuf every sixth Sunday or so. (with a break for summer) so I am very familiar with the lovely city of York. The wife is a yorkie (by heritage not birth) and the youngest loves history so a perfect birthday treat for him.
I love the place and have spent many a happy week there... ahhh those were the days...

Life is too short
