A common enough term in relation to single story Broads boats, and one that some folk have unfortunately taken as an insult, which it isn't. Indeed it is a term of endearment. Both Armitage Shanks and Thomas *******, sorry but can't use that word, have become synonymous with purpose built Broads boats. Bath tubs have even been known to cross the channel and go up the Thames! See:

Jenny Morgan,
A vane, a boat, but not a bird.

The Broads is NOT a National Park.

A member on here described Narrowboats as 'Floating Corridors' - very apt I thought.

I reckon 'margarine tub' describes Mr Wilds concept more accurately than bathtub.
