Hi,

Just received an email from Chris Crowther to say that his new whodunnit is available for pre order from his website.

Hopefully The Water Frolic is as good a read as his previous two novels Waterproof and Still Waters, both of which I throughly recommend.

More details here

Keith, the synopses of those books on the website makes them right up my street!  If I can only persuade myself not to read them until the next visit...  Well that's a no-hoper.

Thanks for this information.

Lisa,

The first two books are very good reads. Part of the interest is in trying to work out what locations the author is talking about. He purposely doesn't detail the locations by their true names, but you can take a few guesses at the locations he had in mind when writing the book. Tha same is true for a few of the characters who I'm sure are more than a little based upon some real Broadland characters.

The first 2 Broads stories have been very good reads, I take them away on our summer holiday so I can get my Broads kick by the pool. Certainly recommend.

I have the first two books which have been read time and time again.  I love them.  I spent a while trying to work out where it was all set.  Particularly the one with the viking style long ship - was so sure that it was on Barton Broad but how did it get under Ludham bridge?

Will definitely order the next one.  Has anyone been able to find a release date for the new one?  Would make a great Christmas pressie but not sure if it will be out in time.

The email I received today stated that the book is out next week and can be ordered from the website now.

I know what you mean about the locations. I think Chris is careful not to stick to the physical layout or locations of the Broads, but it is obvious from some of the descriptions and the rivers leading to the locations what places he had in mind when writing.

Chris is a local guy, living Wroxham, and he is a member on here too.

I,m sure he may pop up some time.
