Siddy - it was up the top of Albions mast but the wind
was not playing games!!!!
But if it had , I think Griffs rafting skills may have
come unstuck1!!
As the afternoon wore on the wind dropped and whilst it
may not have helped the flags, it helped the rafting
procedure!! Smile

Maffman I was playing! I was showing some of my more technologically enhanced sisters that old ladies can pirouette in the middle of the river without the aid of thrusters of any sort...

There had been some showing off from one of the little vixens earlier at the corner in Horning and she needed to be reminded that old does not mean past it.

My skipper very much enjoyed the experience....You can see mrs Fidear sitting on my forward coach house roof waving to the skipper of the vixen concerned (litle show off that she is)....

For some reason that day all the crew were doing was laughing the whole time. I think in the going through Horning picture my skipper was in the process of negotiating the use of the whirpool bath on the young lady to my port side, whilst the skipper of Corsica was doing the same from the opposite side. Sadly due to a lack of suitable bath products this was later abandoned...

Life is too short

I've just caught up with a few pictures (though should still be hard at work!)

This ranks as one of the best days and evenings I've ever had and many emails and pm's must be written to thank people for their conversation and their hospitality - and that's even before I transcribe the holiday tale!

I loved meeting everyone on the C-in-C, but a few new faces must stand out!  JennyMorgan (I'll smack your legs next time I see you for that "transom" comment Peter, lol!) for his wicked grin, Sunchaser for having had the seed of the idea, Richard for his lovely George and even lovelier Brandywine which glistened in front of us like the sun.  The entire crew of Malanka (I bow before you) for organising the group barbeque and (drumroll) for making me an honourary Malankan with cap (erm, that's CAP not CL*P!). I am currently setting up my offices at the Malankan Embassy where I may be visited on alternate Tuesdays between 11.00 and 11.05!  It was simply amazing stepping from moored Moonlight Shadow (1992) across about 30cm of water on to unmoored Malanka (1950s) carrying the handbag dog by her handle.  Lynsey and the delightful Mark - best garlic potatoes ever!  Breamslayer for his big bear hug.  Dungraftin for saying he likes my witterings on the forum.  Gramarg for giving me my first nickname "Scarlett" and for having such a beautiful Rottie.  The list goes on forever, and that's just some of the people I met for the first time at the C-in-C, not the Meet! LOL

Liza, my legs are braced, but please be gentle!!

It was a very genuine pleasure to meet the three of you.

Jenny Morgan,
A vane, a boat, but not a bird.

Then the pleasure was certainly mutual Peter/JM!  We must have a meal at the Quayside together next time we're about (sigh, probably May 2012 for me!) if convenient to you and yours.

Still going to get a leg smack though! LOL (Actually charmed by your comment of course!)

May! 'Tis a date then, with shin pads on in reverse!

Worth coming down in September to see the Battle of Britain speedboat racing though.
