Hi Graybags, first time we ever took our first two airedales on a boat it was on a Silver Jubilee from Martham and Barney patrolled around the boat like a good guard dog then after about three hours of moving back and forth and round and round he did a huge pee against the rear cabin side right on the corner. The devil didn't eat for three further days until we bought him a 1kg tin of Butchers tripe, the dried dinner we thought suitable for boating was entirely rejected. He then proceded to eat the left dried dinner plus 2 tins (2kg) of butchers tripe in one sitting.
When that eating machine was a pup he used to eat 4-6 lbs of tripe per day plus terrier meal as well. We moved to dried dinner as we couldn't afford to feed the beast. He was never ever fat and died at the ripe old age of 11.5 after an illness.

The newer version of barney (who is even bigger at 98lbs and 27 inches at the shoulder)is staying home in the boarding kennel which he loves with his two playmates. They are not coming on the CinC or the site meet.

We can't wait to meet your dogs and pls expect them to get lots of fuss from us. Are there any treats they particularly like?

Life is too short

Diesel just likes a fuss being made over him he really
his a big softie (and he could do to loose some weight
so not many treats please)
Jack Claire's dog is very shy and nervous, so let him
make the first move but once he knows no one is going to
hurt him he will be fine , she is very conscious of this
fact and will have a soft muzzle on him.

We always ask and always let the dog sniff us first. That is usually enough to initiate a tail wag as we smell of (not like) doggies.

Cant wait..

Hi, all,

I am now able to confirm that Sunbird will be waiting at St Benets to welcome you all (presuming you all know what you're doing, when and why). That's assuming we can get moored there anyway, it's not a given at this time of year. If not we'll join you somewhere between Acle and Horning. Is that specific enough? If we're there, any Forumite who wants to come alongside at St B's will be welcome to do so.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Regards, Ray.

If it's neither here, nor there, then where is it?

We will need to come along side at St Bennets to put the stick back up otherwise there will be nowhere to hang the bunting.

Ray , make that 12 to come alongside, don't forget to have the pointy bit facing the right way, if you and Jim can help us moor up as the rest of us come alongside that would be a bonus, Lord paul will also be at St Benets if you can all be together even better.
