Hi,

I'm back from our Welsh weekend with the lunatics and in one piece too, although I think I might have picked up 3 points during the weekend  Mad

Anyroadup Yogibear - amended as requested.

Mudweights for and aft, this subject seems to be bothering a few skippers.  It makes no difference the size of your craft or if you have just the one weight, just look to you neighbour and chuck it in the oggin at the opposite end from them - Simples really.

Remembering, of course, that the rope needs to be tied to something at both ends.

Right, quick question for you, I know for a fact that our hire craft will have it's mud plug tied to the bow, during this ere rafting procedure, if we happen to moor next to a boat that alrady has a mud plug down at the bow, do you want us to untie ours and chuck it over the stern?????? might be an issue that it there is only me and Mark on board and Mark is driving???????????? leaves only little me, help may be needed, ALOT of it lol

The somethings being preferably the mudweight and the boat. Having the rope attached to the mudweight but not said boat and chucking the weight in has been observed several times...Usually accompanied by howles of laughter from the assembled throng.

Always preferable to check the rope your attaching to the boat is the one attached to the mudweight.

Almost as bad a setting off with mudweight still down. No never done that never no ever!! Honest....

Not to worry Lyns, Graham has several large beefy lads I am sure you could borrow for the short trip from St Bennets to Salhouse. If not use the PMR to ask the guy in front (may even be us) which end the plug is attached to.

If it is us it won't matter as we have two anyway.

I assume the plug for the boat will be of the 16kg variety should be no problem. Just imagine its a crate of cider...

I wouldn't worry too much about mudweights, Brandywine doesn't have any, I'll probably just use a couple of cases of beer Smile
