Griff,

Overnight for us please and most likely BBQ.

We do have a tender but with one toddler and one baby would appreciate a mooring to visit Albion.

If anybody wants to borrow our tender they are more than welcome.

It sounds to me that nothing can possibly go wrong.
But - just in case - we must all take cameras. OK?

Griff :- "So, when you are approaching the raft from astern of it as previously mentioned, if you make a hash of it (And there is no pressure here as there will be only 100+ pairs of eyes watching you) KEEP GOING AHEAD come round and have another go but move out one or two places so as to allow the craft following you to take the slot that you had your eye on"

Well I know what I will be doing all afternoon then. Hope I dont get too dizzy!

Communications

A lot of boats will have some sort of radio equipment on board.

Could I suggest the following if using radio for communicating, both whilst under way, and to help with keeping  in contact with the rest of the "fleet" whilst traveling and mooring etc.

Some boats had CB equipment on board.    I would suggest using channel 35.
With CB it will give a good 4 to 5 miles coverage and assist to all or most groups where each flotilla are located and to ensure no one has any trouble in case of breakdowns, late departure / arrival etc.

The smaller PMR radios.  I would suggest the middle frequency / channel.
These are good over a very short range  - boat to boat whilst in transit and whilst mooring at Salhouse.

Any one with a VHF Ham Radio, I would suggest using 145.625 Mhz ( the repeater GB3NB ) initially.
This will give  full Norfolk coverage of about 30 miles.
Once closer together I would suggest using 145.275 Mhz + or- one channel if busy.

Some may have VHF Marine band on board but would ask that they do not use this unless an emergency.

It may be a good idea to know who has what type on board and in which group they will be in.

Original first post updated again.

Some skippers have stated in various parts of this thread they are coming but have not signed up - if so and I have missed you off the original post then you'll just either have to sign up proper or let me know via a posting etc
