LINDA!  (sorry for shouting but need to get your attention)  Please note that the Cruise in Company is 24th JUNE not July!  Unfortunately a mistake was made when starting the "forum event" thread and the wrong month was chosen.  Bit like that on the forum, we make mistakes, we raise our shoulders, we move on, because as Broads boaters we're so chilled!

Lovely you will join us!

I think as long as it isn't doing the raining stuff, just hanging out together either on the broad or ashore with a few bottles of this or that will be just as pleasant as negiotating the path to either of the pubs IMHO!

Maybe we need to consider the length of boats as we moor up with the longest either side of Albion and then the shorter ones slowly spreading out to the smallest like 'you know the one I mean' half pint so it looks slightly arrow shaped if we line up at the stern or V shaped if we line up at the bow.  Just a thought!

I'm with Liz (w-album) on this one, there being mobility probs in our pack, chilling out on the boat is the way forward for us.

As regards a rafting plan, the alternative would be all stern on to Albion and we could look like a star! Lol.

Edit to add:  Linda I love your "signature" line, it makes me happy, too!

This is turning into the poll of intentions I mentioned earlier.

Nearer the time (people may change minds and forget)we should (ok I will)create a list (taaa daaaa)of who is:
1 staying
2 going to pub
3 cooking on board or Barbe etc

We will probs be barbeque monkeys (kids insist unless there is a hurricane blowing) preceded by jumping in the broad and swimming about and followed by silly games and associated hilarity round the son of hibachi (we have two)in patio heater mode... and perhaps some garden candles (open to suggestions)

Happy to sort that out if people think it is a good idea......(we will do it for ourselves anyway) so if folks want to join in pls say so and bring a chair..... entertaining story / mime / group game idea.

Life is too short

I will go first, then.

We are likley to be staying by the boat (but would prefer to moor to land rather than mudweight if possible, not stressed about it though) as walks in the dark on uneven ground are a no-no.

Haven't decided whether to bbq or cook on boat but weather permitting would like to chat, yarn, etc.  (We have chairs and also garden candles which I'll endeavour to remember.)
