Heyup all,

I have a list of 'To-Do's, with regards to the C-in-C

I'm orf to Spain tomorrow (just for a few days, back on Sunday) when I will commence with the To-Do's

One of which is to ring and do the mooring booking, anyone got a number please?
I'll also be ordering the forum flag

Any other suggestions gratefully received.

Griff

Griff. SPAIN???? Poor BA left all alone, she wont know what to do with herself while you are ignoring her sunning yourself on the costas.

Re forum flag....Did you get the pole for said flag? And do you need contris for said flag and pole combi???

Do you think it would be a good idea to book the pub / section of pub for the evening too? That way the mayhem can continue indoors if necessary. I am sure some crews would prefer the pub (I remember this was your intention on BA)rather than roughing it on the staithe. Perhaps a poll of attendees intentions may not go amiss? Reason I mention it is that 20 crews all descending on the small hostelry at very similar times would be mayhem...

I'm a list person too Lisa, and Martin I like your way of thinking, if we can all get moored up, pub sounds a fab idea, if not I don't class any part of the broads as "roughing it" lol  Playful

We may need some creative mooring thinking if we all wish to bank it so to speak. If not we can always bank it for the barbeque brigade and suggest rowing / mudweight for the pub merchants... ...

I imagine whatever happens it will be a laugh trying to achive whatever we decide in the end.

For creative solutions I refer back to the sixties and Salhouse mooring for inspiration.

I too like lists and order in things....

The problem with going to the pub from Salhouse is what one? The Bell or Fur and Feathers? Neither are ideal for the less mobile but a lift to the Bell is possible.....

Having just gone back and re-read Griffs first post about rafting and mudwieghting alternatly-fore and aft I would like to point out I can only deploy the mudwieght from the bow!

37 Boats rafted together at an average of say 11 foot (includes fenders) is 407 foot long or nearly 125 metres for those who prefer. Has anyone measured salhouse? Will the tour boat still get around?

My take on the rafting idea was that it would only be for two or three hours or so. Then individual mudweights, staithe mooring while Albion goes alongside for a bit then leaves the scene. then more space available for CinC craft to moor.

Hence the creative bit.
