Please could I ask that Richard is notified of any publicity you may seek for the forum with the media.

It is, after all, his baby.

Thanks

Gary.

Driving a safety boat does not constitute being a stinky.

Just thought of something, some people us included will be hiring and with the take over times been between 2-4 and some of the southern boats starting earlier than the Northern ones are we going to have some timings so we can possibly ask favours of the hiring yards for early or preferential treatment to enable us all to join in, other wise i think some people may thing this to be an owners only affair.

Good point Gary,

Well if the Ba can have a media / correspondance officer, then so can the NBF.

Can I nominate GC?

Will someone second this nomination?

Will he accept the unpaid post?

Over to you

Charlie, he's renown for the long walks that he gives them, from his home to the pub, back to his home, back to the boat, on to the pub, back to his home and so on. Mind you, he is within twenty short legged walking minutes of either. Very fit dogs.

Jenny Morgan,

Re hiring, some yards offer midweek to midweek lets. Topcraft at Oulton Broad might be worth checking out.

Graham, I for one would hate to think that it was just an owners affair but I do appreciate that it is over a long weekend.

We'll quash the 'Owners only' affair right early in the bud.

The date is chosen to correspond with the Annual NBF Meet the following day.

Timings - Agree we need these sorting. The southern brigade are the key to this, they have further to transit and of course the tides to deal with and the bridges at Gya.  Once we know this then w'ell have some idea of their eta at Thurne mouth etc

Over to you JM

I suspect that we should allow three hours from Oulton to Reedham, an hour from Reedham to Vauxhall Bridge and then three hours to Ranworth or wherever. Based on Gary's projected low water YH YS that means 8.00 muster on OB, 8.30 depart, 4.00 ish arrival at final destination. I know some boats can cut chunks off that timing but I've been fairly generous on journey times so as to allow for a dawdler or two but still expecting 5 to 6 m.p.h. as reasonable. Please feel free to correct me if I'm hours adrift!

Chuffin 'eck we're all going to need a tow from a proper gin palace to achieve that mate  Playful Wink

Griff, thanks for the reply glad to get that out the way, as for the timings i was only asking so as many of the hire boats if they wished could join in i understand this is going to be a problem for the southern boats if the tide is not right, we have no problems as we are taking a weeks holiday starting the Friday from Richardsons at Stalham.
