Malcolm - You nearly gave me a 'canary fit' there.

Suggested arrival time at salhouse is 1500 not 1300 and that is on the FRIDAY 24TH

The Malthouse is just a lap of the Broad to collect the Bure crowd (And show off a bit admitadly)

Any references to Saturday 25th - then it comes under the thread concerned with the 2011 Annual NBF meet which is of course the day after the Cruise - in - Company

Hope this clears it up a bit

Sorry Griff, I was working on Essex real time
Not Norfolk time.
I did say my mind was working overtime.
And it was only a suggestion.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your thoughts - most welcome.

Yes it is a Friday meet, this day/date was picked to coincide with the annual NBF meet the following day and also to make it easier for hirers (as Saturday is generally changeover day of course)

With regards to tides and timings, we are estricted by the availability of Albion. a 1600 arrival time at Salhouse for the flotilla is do-able but 1500 would be better, I have every confidence in J.M to achieve this.

Matt/Fidear45, please do not let on to Mrs Fidear or that Griff person, but as son and heir played for the Red Rose County I may be able to sequester an appropriate drapeau within your luggage.  Moonlight Shadow shall be sporting a (very small) additional national flag in addition to the Ensign so we won't be needing it temporarily...

shhhh...you know who Smile

Errm, excuse me Mr Griff, could I have a word with Maisie please? Ah there you are my dear, Miss Leigh here.

I've been thinking of our "particular" needs Maisie and whilst I've scanned through the thread I haven't been able to identify a spreadsheet or table to list the boats which belong to us canines and those whose slaves don't have a tender.  I mean Maisie, my friend, as we raft up for the night (and won't that be brilliant? The smells that will fill the air - all the human food and the different meals for we VIP cruisers!), how will we get to take our comfort breaks unless we are relatively close together and somedog has organised his or her slaves to ferry us for walkies/out?

My slaves don't have a tender. Yes I know, I should organise better, but they have nothing to offer.  Do you know anyone who can help?  I can instruct my female slave to keep a database of dogs on the Cruise in Company if you think it would be a good idea, but she's a simple soul and unless you feel it would be a good idea I won't trouble her poor brain cell.  (After all I sometimes have to remind her about treat time, can you imagine a slave forgetting that?)

Let me know Maisie, got to go, slave wants to check her email.  It isn't as easy as it used to be is it?

Kind Regards,

Miss Leigh, the small terrier in the large red lifejacket

Dear Miss Leigh,

Rest assured a white rose flag/ensign/burgee or even paper representation will appear on Malanka over someones dead body. I am busily talking to Fiona (Mrs Fidear)in the hope of availing ourselves of the true red rose for the lovely old lady. Red ensign, wooden boats, forum, brooms, malanka, admiralty bunting, RNLI and hopefully a red rose ahh that will do nicely.

I have done my bit for the underdog as I supported LUFC with a lancs accent for many years.

We will hopefully have a tender (we will ask Phil if he will rent us one for the duration)if yes then I am sure our eager teenage contingent will happily row you (Miss Leigh) over for a quick sniff and essential ablution. If not then I am certain others will of course offer the same courtesy.

Dear Griff,(and Lisa too)

Whilst Mrs Fidear (Fiona after some Belgian beer mate)has some links to the curiously labeled "gods own county" as both her parents hail from Bradford (Brattford). Her father's career in the RAF took them far afield and Fiona actually entered our wonderful country in........wait for it BRISTOL.........

We regard ourselves as pseudo northeners now as we have lived amongst the "jessies" and other non northern types for 24 years. We admit to becoming tainted and offer as our excuse the desire to "fit in". Our children have mid Atlantic accents which grieves me greatly. However, I promise in true Rochdale (my home town)tradition to "set a good table" at least in the alcoholic beverage sampling arena and invite you both, along with your respective crews including those with more than two legs to join us on Malanka when rafted up, to partake in some particularly evil Belgian beer sampling!!
What happens as a direct or indirect result of aforementioned sampling is entirely at own risk. Leffe Blue is 9% and it is evil..... But as they say someones got to do it.

Alcoholic beverages of a fruit based nature will also be available.

Life is too short

Phew!  Good to hear from you Maddison.  We shall need to arrange to be close together.  You obviously have your slaves under proper control, I have to wait until mine has had her coffee before we go out in the morning. Yes I know I should have trained her better.  I don't mind though, she's fairly good at treats and "outs".

I suggest you come round to ours on the evening of the Cruise for a Jack Spaniels and puddle water and we can have a good terrier yip...

Miss Leigh...etc.

(Forgive me I don't know your names so I must address myself to your slaves.)

Martin and Fiona (fidear45),

Thank you so much for volunteering your pups for our comfort breaks, you are truly exceptional slaves.

Having been born in Bucks, trained in Yorks but rehomed in Lancs, your flag arrangements are rather nice, too!

I await Maisie's comments on my original post, the female slave is rather feeble you know.  Don't want to work her up unnecessarily.

Miss Leigh Terrier (lifejacket and all that)
