Just a thought Griff, if we can't get a fly past from our lot, how about sounding out the Americans at Lakenheath or Mildenhall.  I don't know what flies out of there these days, presumably the big transports at Mildenhall and the fighter stuff out of Lakenheath. A C130 Hercules is pretty impressive in a low fly by.  The American B2 is an impressive looking aircraft also.  When I was in the R.A.F. our lot tended to be a bit po faced over the question of jollies unless you were a beauty queen or a VIP, whereas the Americans were far easier going.  I can write to the respective commanding officers if all your options go down the toilet.  Another thought occurs having said all that, Marham, if they have some Tornadoes out and about on that day, they might be prepared to divert one for a quick fly past and then put on reheat, that'll clear out your ear wax.  Wink

Great Stuff,

As of yet I have not written/called anyone with regards to any sort of flypast.

So I gratefully accept Keith's offer (Sternmoor) to be i/c of securing some sort of flypast if at all possible.

What a gent - Very good of you sir  Smile

You're welcome Griff, can't make any promises, but I will give it a go.  I'll copy any correspondence to you so that you know of any progress or otherwise.

I am only guessing or thinking out loud but would the fly past be possible as the northern broads is the flight path for Norwich and theres all them planes and choppers that fly in on a daily basis.

Hi Griff!!!
Quote "Can i just recap that this event 'The NBF Cruise in Company' is open to all members whether they be owners or hirers, stinky's or Rag-n-Sticks, Rag-n-Sticks will however for this event require some 'Proper' propulsion and have to leave their rags firmly stowed away!"

Rag n Stick is due to attend - Are you up to the challenge of having a sail????

Attached pic of Tobago towing ragnstick with Broad Ambition gracefully passing.

Looking forward to seeing everybody this time and trying to remember those that we have already met!!!

I will have you know I can go just as fast with the sails up as with the outboard (wind permitting of course) !!! Evil Grin

You've gotta be joking, they can't even do that with proper propulsion, let alone when the rags are up  Evil Grin
