After a few frustrating years I've now purchased a Broads boat. A 40' Bourne, called Brandy Wine.

I had a very specific set of requirements, and she met nearly none of them, but when you fall in love with a boat what can you do Smile

Hopefully I'll pick her up in a couple of days.

A stinkie? A STINKIE????????????:exterminate: boat-sail

I have just spent 20 miutes looking for my copy of Lord of the Rings, so's I can go on re-reading it...they are just about to cross the Brandywine (Branduin) River.

And reading this, I have just remembered where I left it!

Spooky! LOL

Thanks for finding my book even if you have become a traitor to THE CAUSE boat-sail

She looks great Richard, do you know much of her history, There looks to be a bit of the "Ernest Collins" about her.

Honesty and Integrity ... When you can fake those, you've cracked it.

congrats, Richard; looks like a beauty and I'm sure you will be very happy together.  Isn't it odd how we make lists for what we want in a boat (or house) and then ignore it and go with our hearts!
I ended up in a beat up old bungalow instead of the nice ready to move in house we wanted and a 21ft boat with outboard rather than the 27ft shaft drive diesel I thought I wanted.  Have to say, delighted with both! Playful
