Anyone else have problems accessing the forum over the last 24 hours? I was unable to get on yesterday evening/night and most of today. Was it just me??

I had problems this morning and assumed that it was possibly a communications disruption resulting from the hurricane on the eastern coast.

Harry

Just try and keep it on the wet bit dear . . . .

I was starting to think the IT police at work had seen too many hits from my login and banned me from accessing the site!

Richard just likes to check that we are on our toes and noticing these things, but never fear it never takes the boss long to get us up and running again and we have to be grateful for that.  Well done Richard

I trust Richard that your end came out unscathed Evil Grin   but be warned more than 10 hours downtime and the rioters will be out in Wroxham and the Ludham luddites will take to the streets as for the Beccles Barmies heavens knows what they would get up to without their daily forum fix. Scared

Hi Richard,

Just a suggestion (as if you haven't got enough on the wishlist !)....

As the forum is now so popular, how about an independent secondary IP address with just a simple HTML page showing forum 'Status'.  The members (and more importantly, your moderators), could keep it as a saved hyperlink which they could try if the main site was down. (No good for short outages, but maybe you could use it for kit blowouts or scheduled maintenance ?)  Smile
