We are pretty high up in West Yorkshire and there's still plenty of snow here, and some drifting yesterday. We got a good couple of inches overnight and that fine icy perfect snowball stuff has been falling all morning.

Here's a pic of Mike going out a short while ago after clearing the snow off our little workhorse 4 x 4. Mikes car and my MG are under the piles of snow to the left. We've just kept the one car and bit of drive clear for about 2 weeks now!

It was by chance back in November that a friend of a friend was selling their sons 4 x 4, at a very good price. As I have to travel about a bit to places up hill and down dale around here, and my MG isn't really made for that in the winter, we decided to go for it, never realising what a saviour it would be in all the wintry weather that was to come! Good timing for once Smile

Here just a little east of Donny it rained lightly yesterday and overnight, today we have a proper thaw on, still plenty of snow in the side roads and parks/fields, heavy slushy stuff. I've just cleared our drive/path for the umpteenth time.

I must admit that I was well and truly sick of the stuff, until I finally made it into school today after nearly a week of serious cabin fever.  Took my class out the play (we still have at least 8 inches of snow on the school field).  We had a whole school snowball fight and a snowman building competition. Loved every minute of it as the kids did too.  Now our field looks rather spooky with 60+ snowmen staring in through the classroom windows.  I could have swore those eyes were following me as I walked out to the car park tonight!

Very little snow left in west Norfolk now.
One farmer in our village was ploughing today.

Since you seem to have stopped talking about snow and ice I gather it might be ok to come down to Stalham this weekend. Just need to check that boats are OK and being soft have negotiated cheap rates in the hotel.

Good luck
