Hi everyone! I've lurked on this forum for a while but thought I would introduce myself and alert you to a rare(ish) opportunity to see Hathor and Albion together next week.

I'm Katy and I'm a volunteer crew member with WYCCT, out and about on Hathor this year. From reading past messages I see one or two people have sailed with me! I hope I didn't make a fool of myself Wink

The sailing details for Hathor and Albion are:

Monday 27th - Womack to Horning, 10am-6pm
Tuesday 28th - Horning to Ranworth, 6pm-8:30pm
Timings as always are "wherry time" which may or may not be related to BST...

Also I believe both will be going to the St Benet's service on Sunday 2nd August (Hathor certainly will).

I'm actually crewing on all those sailings so please do give me a wave if you see us! Smile  If you get any good photos then we do have a photo competition running.

On Wednesday 29th they are not sailing but both are on view at Ranworth so you can "compare and contrast" if you haven't been on board before. And Hathor's public sailings and viewings continue right through until 18th September.

Thanks to everyone who supports us and any of the historic boats on the Broads. We really appreciate it.

Welcome Katy!

Yes, I remember meeting you on the Ranworth to Wroxham day and what a great day it was! I have not had a DD request yet by the way.
I hope the fundraise at Milton Keynes went well.
It's not often we have Olympians on the Forum, if the EDP had it right, so doubly welcome for that!

Pauline

'Stop it you silly ass!' cried the Rat from the bottom of the boat 'You can't do it! You'll have us over!'

Hello again Pauline, and thank you. I'm no Olympian, but I did complete my middle distance triathlon (it felt pretty long to me!) and raised nearly £700 for the wherries. We have been a bit snowed under with organising the tour, and I know there are a few memberships to be processed, of which I assume yours is one - sorry for the delay.

Thank you Paul for adding the info to What's On, too.

Hi Katy - shuffle on over to Albion and introduce yourself on either the Tuesday or Wednesday. I am not sure whether I am sailing or not but certainly will be around on the boat both days.

I have a feeling that the mooring at Horning may be a bit difficult and no doubt when you get to Ranworth we shall be upsetting a large no. of holidaymakers!!!!

Dont forget if you want a push just whistle up our dinghy and we shall be delighted to help - unless of course you insist on using those wooden stick like things!!!!!

I will say hello although I may feel a bit daft asking numerous people whether they are marshman Wink

I think we are working on the moorings issue. As for the sticks, I like to think of it as a special form of busking... put on a good show and then pass the hat!
