Thanks Carol, it would have helped if I had pasted the link. I was just seeing how alert you all were today. Well that's my excuse anyway Smile

Hi Barry & Olive,

Thank you for the kind comments  Blush

I haven't added any new pictorial content in the past few months but the 'live' weather page is now operational ( http://www.shorebase.co.uk/broads/weather/weather.asp ) and I'll get the webcam working this Spring... (it's showing Neaves Mill on the River Ant, no boats about today, but they are quite visible in this view normally (honest ...))   Smile

Carol indicated Craig's detailed maps on ebay at

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Norfolk-Broads-Map-River-Yare-and-its-secret-waters_W0QQitemZ6260912397QQcategoryZ53580QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I emailed Craig via the ebay system and he explained he has been unable to access the forum - apparently because of some problems with his ISP (where he currently is in Germany). He sends his greetings to all on the forum and explained the following:

He said he has spent hundreds of hours - and pounds - working on the maps of the Broads and buying expensive detailed aerial photos to work from. In order to be able to continue with this costly exercise, he has tried selling some of his work on ebay. I'm going to buy a copy of the collection of R Yare maps as they seem very interesting and useful.

He still plans to develop his website in the future.

Dennis

We have also ordered a set over ebay, they look good. Having been in email contact with Craig he has said that he now needs money to complete the project and selling the work so far is a way of getting the necessary cash. He did say that sales were slow. Anyway hoping that the map is as good as it looks on the screen and that the whole of the area can be mapped in this detail.

Hi Richard,
Yes, it's at http://www.shorebase.co.uk/wx.wml and is also updated every 15 minutes, please feel free to link to it and/or ask for mods. I hadn't said too much about it so far as I've only just got the thing going. I'm going to 'breathe' on the source files a bit to show more information, but I've got a lot of work on at the moment.. (mustn't complain)  Smile
