Does anybody know of a boatyard in Norfolk I may be able to hire a boat from for sat 23rd July for a week!(a reasonably decent boat) away from blakes/hoseasons as they have nothing available at all?

Might be worth ringing Line Azzurro of Great Yarmouth, depending on your outlook on them.  The phone number can be found through the shops & businesses section on here.

With opinions and rumours all over the place on this fleet at the mo, maybe if they do have something then if its possible to view the craft first this might be a possible solution to the problem?

All the best

Dan

hi again
forgot about geo smith of wroxham but here's another way to get info from them www.shortbreakhire.com / www.dayboathire.com .
but if you hire from them you have to take your own bed linen

Thank you Dan, yes sir, if you would care to call LineAzzurro, we currently have availability on the dates you require, and as you might have read on the site today (15th July), we are now operating independently. We have just had our boats independently assessed by a representative of Visit Britain and their recommendations have since been satisfactorily implimented. Our number is 01493.842600.

Welcome to the ranks of the independents JC not quite sure which posting you were referring to as you seemed to be an hour or so ahead of yourself  Playful Wink .

Not easy to change horses mid race as it were, so the best of luck. My suggestion on another thread about getting a few of your hirers to help tidy up some of the hulls was not entirely tongue in cheek. Suspect there might be a few members here who still have enough pride in the boats they hire, given the where with all to help tidy them up a bit whilst moored somewhere more conducive than yarmouth quays.
