But that sounds like another vantage point where many of your shots will be facing into the sun, not usually the best angle.

I know it prevents a quick move to the other popular locations, (e.g. Potter) but in some years I have seen some great shots got from the southern bank opposite the Ferry Inn.  Much easier to get a decent exposure from there without over exposing the sky, and the blue shows up (Always the optimist me!  Bound to be a downpour this year. It'll be my third attempt!)

You may be correct Greg,  I have been at Cockshoot and Woodbastwick before, but want to try other views.

Most of the boats last year went past Ludham (where I was ) on the outward leg, thats why I missed most.

Lets hope the weather is sunny with some wind.

Paul,

Whats this "some" wind?

We want lots of wind, with hopefully some sun to go with it boat-sail

By the way, Keith Darby will be out again with the Mighty Neil to get me through the bridges!!

I believe I may have made a rash statement saying something like "yes, what a great idea! we will take your yacht!" this could wel have been after a drink or 2!. I am however regretting it now - mind you its always ok once you have actually started! So I should be out there in Corsair, or if he whimps out it could be Perfect Lady or Moss Rose! (All river cruisers btw!)

Cheers

Chris

Can someone put the dates up?

BTW - if I can make the time free and someone needs an extra crew, I'd love to come up... Does Mat still look in? It would be great to see PL9 making waves again!

I thought about entering Caleis... I think she'd stand a chance against Greg's little yacht, but not much more than that!! Playful Wink

The race is on 30th/31st May 2009 (the weekend after the bank holiday/ at the end of half term). As far as I'm aware the 11:00 am start will be used again after considerable success last year, but I haven't heard from official sources yet.

Any prospect of a Team NBF entry this year? Toby

He he.

You gonna regret that Mr DannyBoy. I have heard a rumour that my crewman may not be around so instead of the comfort of a river cruiser you can jump in a wayfarer instead LOL boat-sail

Su,

Yeah, bit more than that would be nice. Perhaps about a Force 4 or 5, should be finished by 9pm that way!!

As for the pic itself (and Im looking at you Finny), please notice that my side of the boat is higher than Neil's side LOL
