Identity is such an ephemeral thing, especially now that so many of us have so many identities, and Internet pseudonyms have become fashionable.
And so to the owner of the small, motor cruiser which dawdled down the Ant at the end of Barton Regatta - here's a little light on the subject. The helm of the motoring broads yacht which overtook you, and with which you remonstrated for so doing, and addressed as myself, was not your esteemed correspondent, but was in fact another.
Mark wells, the former Vice chair of the BA Navigation Committee, and current Vice chair of the NSBA, would no doubt like to be infamous in his own right (write?) and would like me to point out to you that he has no beard and is considerably younger. Ah - the vanities of youth?
He also denies exceeding 4 mph, but then we all say that don't we?
