I would love to move our boat up to the Broads, but last week gave me a real eye opener! I saw only one marina selling petrol!? It would be a real shame if I can't get our boat on the Broads through the lack of petrol.
Do you know of any information I can get as to where petrol is available?
Lots of private boats run on petrol but most boat yards don't sell it. I think this is due to the strict safety rules covering the storage and sale of petrol which is a lot more volatile than diesel. It's a pity because petrol causes less environmental damage as it just evaporates. Some boat yards do have a supply of petrol. Maycraft is an example. I usually fill up cans at Tesco's in Stalham. It's cheaper there.
We keep our boat at Stalham. Petrol from boat yards is non-existsnt. We too go to Tescos at Stalham to fill up. Not really a problem. Dont let this put you off, The Norfolk Broads is breath taking. We live 5 minutes off a canal in North Yorkshire, but prefer to keep our boat on the Broads 200 miles away. Stewart

Petrol used to be available at Ferry Marine in Horning and at Martham Boatbuilding on the Thurn at one time Ludham Bridge yard would supply petrol if you had run out
