It's been troubling me for some time now,but I believe I am,what is known as.................a LURKER!!!! I am one of those forumites who trawl these pages on a regular basis, yet never show myself from the shadows. I never post, just read and enjoy the banter between everyone else on here I think I've been reading the forum for about a year now. So I suppose it's time I skulked out of the shadows and say 'Hello'. Very quick brief;I love to read this forum, especially Holiday tales(some of them are like reading an Arthur Ransome book)as I used to love hiring a boat on the Broads. I moved to Florida nearly 5 years ago(Naples on the Gulf coast in South West Florida)and boating on the Broads is one of those special 'English things' that I miss. So again I'll say 'Hello' and leave it at that. Oooh,I feel all better now! Adam

Hi Adam, Welcome from the shadows! Hope you keep posting & lurking. If nothing else, we seem to be able to produce enough variable weather with our boating tales to satisfy the needs of you poor sunshine-saturated souls in Florida! Hurricanes acknowledged, of course! On another thread, recently, I mentioned a brilliant Ransome based novel for adults, 'Snow White, Blood Red' by Marcus Sedgwick pub. Orion you might enjoy this a lot! Pauline 'Stop it you silly ass!' cried the Rat from the bottom of the boat 'You can't do it! You'll have us over!'

Adam, Welcome to the forum, bout time you stuck your head out really isnt it, you joined last August To all the regulars, who is going to start a raffle? This summer we currently have a house in Australia that could be used as a holiday home for 3 weeks and now one in Florida Anymore readers from abroad like to offer their residences for a couple of weeks while they are on the Broads?
