WATCH THIS SPACE!
captain joshie (john) will shortly be posting on here to tell you how to buy raffle tickets before the event!
BUT, in the meantime can i remind you all ;-the meet is only a month away and we still need pledges of prizes for the raffle/tombola.
last year we made a lot of money for charity, this year we would like to top that, with your help we can!
in theory ;-more members equals more funds raised.

P.M.s to john or myself A.S.A.P please.

regards mike

SOS

A few weeks ago the car engine went and died, which resulted in having to buy a new car...not a major problem (although my wallet did squeal)...

Didn't think about this until yesterday....

Scooby is on taxi duty at the meet, tow bar was on the old car.....

We hope to get a new bar fitted in time, but if not would it be possible for someone tow scooby to the yard and back? Petrol of course will be paid.

As I say we hope to have new bar fitted by then, this is just a contingency sort of plan

thanks in advance

regards

Marc (stinky owner & rag n stick appreciator) & Karen (rag n stick)

Hi All

The Meet Raffle is now well underway with the following prizes already secured with more to follow!! Gasp .

Fishing Tackle.
Day Cruiser form WRC or Horning From James Knights.
Meal (main course) for 4 at The Maltsters, thanks Tony.
Carvery for 4 and a bottle of house wine at The Sutton Staithe Hotel, thanks Damion.
LARGE CASH prize from the Broad Ambition Team.
An MP3 player.
Long Weekend on 'Bitten' from Whispering Reeds, thanks John.

To be in with a chance of winning you need tickets! This year due to various reasons there won't be the usual PayPal buy from the website method, sorry.

But you can still pre-purchase tickets direct from me by sending a cheque to my home address, which is on the SOS list, £1.00 a ticket with a minimum of £5.00 worth. Make cheques payable to me J. Haigh, note I won't bank them untill near the site meet date (21st June). You could if you wish pay in directly to my  PayPal account (REMOVE THE STARS AND put in the @ .) ***jhaigh*btinternet*com***, BUT REMEMBER PayPal does take a cut and this reduces the funds!! Please include you site name and your email address so I can let you know if you win Smile  with which ever method you use.

Remember is for good causes and lets try and bet last years grand total Smile .

Don't forget we still need Tombola prizes also, PM me with your offers of prizes please Playful Wink .

Kind regards, John(Captain Joshie)& Jo, 'Rosie L'Ondine' L799.

And another one to add to the list, Captain-Joshie....

Hunters have again kindly donated one of their "skippered sail" trips for the raffle. This is an opportunity for anyone who has admired the Hunters boats to actually get out on one with an experienced skipper to do all that tricky rope pulling.

For the last two site meets I've thoroughly enjoyed giving people a brief sailing experience, and would have loved to do the same again. Unfortunately I can't make the meet as it clashes with the launch of a book written by a friend of mine and in which I feature (it's a speleological book), and I'm required to give demonstrations during the launch in Northumberland.

I hope to be back offering sailing at next year's meet.

Robin,

We will miss you!

I really enjoyed my trip on the broad with you last year, so thank you very much indeed for that, and all the time and effort you have given to others.

Hope to see you out on the river before the 2009 meet though!

Have a great speleology day with your friend,

all the best, Karen
