Griff Just seen your post re the cash for the Raffle Prize , what can I say! Thank you so much! Your team have done a great job with Broad Ambition and that amount of cash with help the Raffle along very nicely indeed Come on you members who can't attend, get your raffle tickets now, the prize list is BIG and you need tickets to be in with a chance of winning, use the PayPal button above or from me by sending a cheque to my home address, which is on the SOS list, £1.00 a ticket with a minimum of £5.00 worth. Make cheques payable to me J. Haigh, note I won't bank them untill near the site meet date (21st June). Again Thanks to Griff and The Broad Ambition Team for their generous prize! Kind regards, John(Captain Joshie)& Jo, 'Rosie L'Ondine' L799.

We certainly have some very generous people out there. This should be put in the Moorings thread but... It's alright folks promising to provide sorties out onto Malthouse Broad but...what makes you think you'll have a mooring from which to run these trips? Seriously though, Griff...it may be quite difficult for you to run a trip service around the Broad as, if you get a mooring on the island , you'll be packed in so darned tight you'll never get BA out and back in again...not keeping the timbers intact anyway!

Griff my friend...I meant no disrespect nor was I trying to be a clever-arse (for a change...lol!) I would be seriously concerned about BA's gorgeous lines being compromised by the forum-meet sardines game. As it is, I want to ensure there are some nice soft fenders between her and her neighbours anyway! Sunday morning might be a great time to do the 'round the Broad' thing? A few may have departed and we might be slightly less thronged...

Dibbler Mate, No offence was taken at all even a little bit, I fully understand what you are saying and you are quite correct in what you say (Clever Dick ) You reckon any of the 'B.A' crew will be in any sort of responsible / fit state Sunday morning?? By around Midday we may well be so. We have plenty of fenders and so what if she gets scratched? We already have a few battle scars so one or two more won't make much difference, we treat her as a working boat not a museum piece to be wrapped in cotton wool. Griff

Hi Everyone, Talking to Steve last night, our crew at the Quayside Club have donated a raffle prize - a weekend (Fri. to Mon.) on our 1937 Jack Powles 'Glitterwake'. Steve said I should post to let you all know, so thats what I've done! Looking forward to meeting everyone soon. Kind regards, Gordon
