Did anybody see this programme on ITV last night after the News At 10 ? The first item featured The Waveney River Centre and an interview with James about a certain "Commander" Newitt who kept his luxury cruiser there until the River Centre were instructed to remove the boat from the water as it was being impounded by the authorities for non- payment of business debts.
Some lovely pictures of the river with The Waveney Princess passing in the background along with many other holiday craft.

Yep I saw it, thought James interviewed very well.

Btw the James, any chance of some visitor moorings? I'm involved with some sensative work, I'll pay you down the line of course, Evil Grin    tounge-in-cheek

I missed the beginning but from what I did catch of it "commander Newitt" was posing as a secret agent or something wasn't he? He even fooled the police from what I can gather. What was his link to the Broads?

all the best

sorry folks only just picked up on this thread. Glad you enjoyed the
show. For those who missed it, I am hoping to post it on our website
or Youtube, once I get confirmation from Granada that they are ok for
us to publish it.

It was certainly quite an interesting affair, I must write a book about it
one of these days - once I am released from my obligations under the
Official Secrets Act!

Cheers
