Would this be Norfolk Broads Direct by any chance? It's often been reported that they do not allow private boats to moor in their yard. It's just company policy, nothing at all to do with the BHBF. For example, Barnes Brinkcraft, Eastwood Whelpton, Herbert Woods, Richardsons and Waveney River Centre are all members, and allow private boats to moor overnight (subject to space and whether it's a turn-around day). You may recall that Barnes and Richardsons had a condition attached to planning applications that they had to provided a certain number of short-stay visitor moorings.

MM, there was a thread about this a year ago, with a list of most, if not all, of the visitor moorings as per planning conditions.

I think i_I can add one more - down at the bottom of Woods Dyke on the right hand side, I believe two had to added to that mooring when extended.

MM, that extension was included in the application for the whole of the site. The two visitor mooring are in the main basin http://planning.broads-authority.gov.uk/PublicAccessDocs/planningDocs.aspx?doc=/sites/planning/2013/Documents/Development%20Control/BA20130397FUL/%27Site%20of%20proposed%20public%20moorings.pdf (if the link doesn't work, copy and paste it into your browser's address bar) "..for the avoidance of any doubt, the broads are not legally a national park and do not come under the national park legislation, and nor will they." Yes Paladine, Norfolk Broads Direct was the guilty party.
